Crash Normal & The Muslims at UCI

There were at least a dozen guys wearing tighter jeans than I was. So obvs, everyone was keeping it pretty hip and stylish. I could have easily taken pictures of everyone in attendance...too bad I was dancing like a mad woman to both Crash Normal and The Muslisms. But hey, I love you dear here are a few for you to enjoy. As always, click on pictures to enlarge.

The girl on the left was wearing a very cute green marching band-esque jacket. I especially love the lacey details on the sleeves. The girl on the right has on some pretty rad boots.

Jerome of Crash Normal is from France. Do all French men wear nicely fitted leather jackets and fantastic dress shoes?

White suit versus black suit. Both equally dapper.

Crash Normal in all their fashion-y & noisy glory.

The Muslims from San Diego. They've been getting a lot of blog-love/hype. With one listen to "Nightlife," I think you'd agree with the hype.

wtf coachella?! & sold out no age show?

regular posting soon...but a small digression:

wtf coachella set times? how can you put akron/family on so late in the day, and therefore compete with other great acts?

hot chip/m.i.a. versus islands/animal collective versus kraftwerk
animal collective versus portishead (who only get ONE HOUR)

full saturday line-up here:
i don't even want to get into friday/sunday.

ok, one more thing:
Here are some stylin' looking guys and gals* in front of the sold out no age/mika miko show at the central library in downtown l.a. on sunday (april 20).
when did they start selling out shows?!?!?!

Headscarf, Sunglasses, and Crocheted Vest

This is an instance where accessories pull an outfit together. Her headscarf compliments her crocheted vest. And to downplay the daintyness, she has on a pair of black Minnetonka moccasins.

Oxford shirt & Gladiator sandals (and cute dog).

I saw her leisurely walking her dog on campus and thought her outfit perfectly matched her mood. It's simple yet clean-cut and chic.

Green layers

I love how everything layers and drapes on her body, from the scarf to the cardigan to the skirt.

The Mae Shi at UCI [part dos]

It was 99 degrees in Irvine. Cut-off jeans and cute sun dresses were all over the Phoenix Grille. There was a rad game of Capture the Flag with The Mae Shi before the show.

Thanks to all who came. Thanks to all who were stylin'.

As always, click on picture to enlarge.

Really cute off-white dress with ChloƩ (knock-offs? who knows!) flats

Jon of The Mae Shi in his favorite shirt. And yeah, that's an eagle on his hat.

Cute velvet shorts with tights. You can't see the back, but it buttons all the way up. Adorable.

Plaid & Acid Wash

Acid Wash went out with Crystal Pepsi, the "Latin Explosion," and slam books. But worn with plaid, something forever "in," she keeps it stylin'.

Perfect for spring

I love the floral shirt tucked into purple skinny jeans. And to top it off, she is wearing a cardigan, which is always a safe bet.
